World Cup 2014: Brazil fan dies of heart attack as Neymar penalty wins tense shootout vs Chile

A Brazilian fan has died from a heart attack after watching the tense penalty shootout between Brazil and Chile in the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil..
The 69-year-old man was seen  in a bar within the Mineirao Stadium in Belo Horizonte watching the penalty shootouts when he starting complaining of feeling ill. He was later rushed to the hospital where he died two hours later.
Officials said he had suffered from high blood pressure and diabetes, the Estado de Minas newspaper reported.

Brazilian newspaper Estado de Minas, said that 98 people including the victim had so far received medical care during the match. A 50-year-old woman was also reported to have gotten a shock during the penalty shootout whilst a 20-years old man also got his nose broken from involving himself in a fight. After a full 120 minutes, including extra time, the scores remained 1-1. Brazil won on penalty kicks with a score line of 3-2. They face Columbia in their next match in the quarter finals.


Last night, a Columbian woman was killed by a stray bullet fired during celebrations after Columbia won against Uruguay.
A Chinese fan was also reported dead after staying up to watch the opening group matches for three days.
Another  Mexican fan, out of excitement from Mexico's successful start to the tournament, jumped to his death.
An England fan suffered the "Suarezian fate", when some parts of his ear was bitten off during Roy Hodgson’s sides defeat to Uruguay.
