Ghana has received €30 billion from the Netherlands Government to invest in major sectors of the economy like the health, agriculture and maritime.
During a visit to Ghana, Ms. Lilianne Ploumen, the Minister of Foreign Trade and Development Co-operation of the Netherlands, alongside her 50 representatives of companies from the Netherlands acknowledged that her Government would be supporting the Ghanaian Government to improve upon the health, agriculture and maritime sectors.
She added "Our aim is to move from aid and focus on investment by supporting the Small Scale Enterprises (SMEs), especially the agricultural sector, by motivating farmers to practice farming on a large scale. We believe that with our great expertise, the Ghanaian agricultural sector would be improved."
