Arsene Wenger Gives His Opinion on the Ghana Black Stars

By on 12:57

Arsenal coach and manager, Arsene Wenger clearly stated that it would be fallacious for Portugal and Germany to underestimate the potential of the Black Stars at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. He said: “They almost reached the semi-finals in South Africa. Coach Kwesi Appiah has a good team.”
The Black Stars together with Germany, USA and Portugal have been grouped into Group G at Brazil 2014.
"Germany and Portugal might be the favourites, but be careful of Ghana!," he vividly stated.
"It will be extremely difficult. I’d say Germany first, then Portugal. Should we expect a surprise in the first game between Germany and Portugal? You never know, but I still think Germany are the favourites, but Portugal are always a tough team to beat, as they showed during the Poland/Ukraine European Championships."he added.

Ghana's campaign begins with a match against the Stars and Stripes (USA)  on June 16 in Natal before playing Germany and Portugal within a 5 days interval respectively.
